Pre- Violin practice: Practice for proper bow hold
1. Hold a pencil parallel to the ground.
2. Tip of thumb is touching the pencil and bent and fingers lay over(dont wrap around pencil).
3. Move fingers and say, " 4 little froggies swimming in a pool (all fingers wiggle), One jumps up and sits on the stool(pinky sits on top of pencil)"
4. Thumb still curved, 3 fingers lay over (do not wrap around pencil) and pinky is curved on top

Plucking: Plucking gently on the strings close to the fingerboard using first finger or thumb ( In playing position and banjo position)
